SUMMER SESSION DETAILS

Ages 4-7

Tuesday-Friday

9:00am - 2:00pm

*Friday is hike day. Drop off at 9:00am and pick up at 1p in Briones at Alhambra Staging Area

Maximum enrollment of 13 children. 

Children are asked to pack a lunch and bring it in a backpack with a water bottle. Organic snack will be provided.

DAILY & WEEKLY RYTHM

We keep our daily rhythm slow and spacious so children have the maximum amount of time for art projects. We have snacks like homemade oat/honey/peanut butter bars and popcorn accompanied by fresh seasonal organic fruit.

We spend our mornings under the shade of the redwood tree playing in the playgarden, visiting the chickens in the big yard, learning circle games and working on group craft projects like silk dyeing, collage, and tie dye. When it’s really hot, we usually turn on the misters and eat popsicles! Sometimes we take a walk to my neighbor’s and visit her garden and say hi to her horses.

REGISTRATION

Please complete the summer camp inquiry form HERE. After the inquiry form is complete, Teacher Amy will be in touch to set up a time to discuss camp, go over the contract and give details on how to submit payment.

Priority is given to those families who would like the most weeks. As space permits, families wishing for less weeks will be admitted. For example, we will register 4 week requests first, then 3 week, then 2 week, then 1 week if space permits.

My goal for this year is to have a somewhat consistent group for the four weeks, with only a couple of students coming and going preferably at a minimum of two weeks.

Please keep in mind, Song Sparrow Playgarden holds a family home childcare license. All students will be required to complete licensing forms and submit vaccination records before attending.

DEADLINES

April 8, 2024: Non-refundable tuition deposit equal to 50% of total summer tuition is due to hold your child’s place

April 22, 2024: Remainder of tuition and materials fee is due

Materials fee is $15/week this includes art supplies and snack.

*Please respect the deadlines set forth and understand that no exceptions will be made if you do not pay your deposit by the deadline

Deposits are non-refundable and will be applied towards the summer session tuition payment.

If you are registering past April 22, tuition is due IN FULL at time of enrollment.
